I’ll never comment on dumsor, water challenges under Akufo-Addo again – Afia VIM Lady swears

Journalist with Despite Media Afia Pokuaa popularly known as VIM Lady has vowed never to open her mouth to speak against power outages or water problems in the country again.

Speaking on her UTV show Critical Issues, the journalist said she took the decision to stay off any thing about dumsor or water challenges due to attacks she receives anytime she laments hence her decision.

“… As I speak, I have fixed an inverter and have sworn never to speak about dumsor again. Water I won’t talk… If my lights are off, it is not a problem. I’d rather be silent. Me, a nobody and I am being insulted, of course, even Sam Jonah was not spared,” she said.

According to her, Ghanaians were experiencing a version of culture of silence that came with verbal abuse from NPP and NDC footsoldiers who at one time abused her for a whole week over similar dumsor comment unfavourable to NPP.

“For a week I was abused as though it was untrue that my lights had been off” she lamented.

“People say there is no culture of silence? When I posted on Facebook about dumsor – that my lights were out, NPP footsoldiers abused me for a whole week.

She said the media now struggles to get resource persons due to the constant online abuse as the persons fear falling on the wrong side of either party footsoldiers.

“You invite knowledgeable Ghanaians to come unto your program to help educate the general public on critical issues but they refuse the invitation. If you ask why they say NDC and NPP footsoldiers will attack you. We have abused people till nobody wants to serve Ghana” she added.
