Few days ago, Ghanaian versatile rapper widely as Okyeame Kwame, who instructed his lawyers to demand veteran musician Gyedu-Blay Ambolley, to retract defamatory statement made against him or face him in court, after a video interview conducted by 3FM was published on all TV3 social media handles, after which it started to trend all over the country.
In the said video interview, Gyedu Blay Ambolley claimed that former president of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Bice Osei Kuffour (Obour), gave huge sums of money to a tune of Ghc50,000 to his close friends, one of which is Okyeame Kwame.
According to Okyeame Kwame’s lawyers, these allegations are false. They mentioned that their client’s reputation has therefore been tainted in the eyes of well-meaning Ghanaians.
A day after Okyeame Kwame lawyers released the demand for withdrawal of defamatory statements by Ambolley, TV3 Media on their morning show dubbed ‘New Day’, made it public that their outlet disassociates themselves from all comments the legendary musician Gyedu – Blay Ambolley made, because after their outlet contact with him, he was unable to provide facts about what he said as he initially insinuated.
The questions Ghanaians are asking is that, if really TV3 Media were serious with the reply in their video isolating themselves from the issue, the said video interview is still on their social media pages in which views are increasing day in day out. When do they intend to get it taken down?
Another question some portion of Ghanannewss.com followers are also asking is that, is TV3 Media ready to apologize to Okyeame Kwame for defamatory damages caused to him?
