Isaac “Royal Storm” Dogboe, a former Junior featherweight World Champion, is determined to bring another world title belt back to Ghana.
This Saturday, he is set to face off against Two-time Olympic gold medalist Robeisy Ramirez for the vacant WBO featherweight World title at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa.
At Thursday’s press conference, Dogboe expressed his confidence and excitement for the upcoming fight. “I feel great. They say that the third time’s a charm. The first time was great. The second time wasn’t all that great. But I feel great about this trip,” he said.
Despite his two career defeats, both to Emmanuel Navarrete, Dogboe remains optimistic and committed to success. “I’m always hopeful. If I say I’m going to do something, I’m always going to show up. I thank God for giving me that mental fortitude. That’s why everything that has transpired in my boxing career has happened.”
Dogboe recognizes the challenge that Ramirez poses but is ready to seize this opportunity for redemption. “I have a second chance now. I know that Robeisy is tough. He is a good fighter. But I know that we will come out with the victory on April 1,” he said.
The Ghanaian boxer is determined to bring home the WBO featherweight World title and make his country proud.
