Basake Holy Stars head coach Abdulai Gazale has admitted that things will not come easy for the club in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.

The Ellembelle-based club secured promotion for the first time after emerging as champions of the Division One League Zone Two.

Basake Holy Stars will play their first ever Ghana Premier League when they take on Hearts of Oak on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium in the first match day of the new season.

Speaking after a friendly game against Medeama SC, Abdulai Gazale – who was appointed head coach after their promotion – said he still has a few things to work on before the clash against the Phobians.

“So far, so good because we have new players, like you said. I’m also a new guy, but we are trying to put ourselves together to get a team that can represent the team very well.

“I think so far we have those who can do the work. We just need to push them so much so that we can get ourselves ready for it.

“This is their first time playing in the Premier League, and I know it will not be easy, but we will make our way through.”
