Ghanaian dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has reignited his long-standing rivalry with Shatta Wale, asserting that their lyrical abilities are not on the same level.
In an interview with Headless YouTuber, monitored by Ghana Wekend on Thursday October 16, the “Gidigidi” hitmaker dismissed ongoing comparisons between himself and Shatta Wale, stressing that a lyrical battle between them would be unfair.
“Even if you want to extend that conversation to a lyrical battle, it’s not something that is compatible. It would be like I’m cheating somebody because the difference is clear,” he said.
Stonebwoy made the statement while responding to a question about a potential charity boxing match between himself and Shatta Wale.
He clarified that he had no interest in stepping into the boxing ring but maintained that, musically, he would still “have the upper hand.”
The award-winning artiste’s comments add a fresh twist to the ongoing debate between fans of Bhim Nation and Shatta Movement over who reigns supreme in Ghana’s dancehall scene.
