
Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Jamal Amofa scored to inspire SC Cambuur to a 3-2 victory over Almere City and inch close to Eredivisie promotion.The 27-year-old rose high to head home and give Cambuur the lead for the first time in the game two minutes after half time.Cambuur had conceded early in the match after Milan de Haan had opened the scoring for the visitors.Moments later, the home side leveled through Jort van der Sande to ensure the game was levelled at half time.After the break, Amofa netted to make it 2-1 before Van der Sande added his second of the game to give the hosts a two-goal cushion.Almere netted with four minutes remaining through Oliver de Nijs to set up a dramatic end to the match.Amoafa lasted the entire duration, making his 27th league appearance this season and also has three assists to his credit.Meanwhile, compatriot Emmanuel Poku came on in the second half for Almere City.The victory keeps Cambuur SC in second place, just five points behind league leaders ADO Den Haag.
