A special thanksgiving service has been held in honour of a Supreme Court Judge, Justice Kweku Tawiah Ackaah-Boafo at his local church, Fountain of Glory Assemblies of God, Spintex in Accra.

Justice Ackaah- Boafo is one of the seven judges of the Court of Appeal recently sworn- in by President John Dramani Mahama as Supreme Court Judges.

In a sermon, General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God church, Rev Stephen Wengam admonished judges to seek the wisdom and fear of God.

He also charged them to possess a heart of discernment in the faithful discharge of their duties. Rev Wengam said owing to the critical and sensitive nature of their job, there is the need for judges to develop their spiritual lives for them to deliver “true justice.

The General Superintendent subsequently led a team of pastors to pray for Justice Ackaah-Boafo.

Justice Ackaah-Boafo is recognized for some landmark cases, including his ruling in a medical negligence case against the 37 Military Hospital which was found liable for the death of a 27-year-old PhD student after delivery at the facility.
