AfroFuture has released its second single from the collaborative project BAL’ING ON THE CONTINENT. The new track, titled “Mngani Wam,” features producer and DJ K-Zaka, female DJ duo Uncool Angels, and Amapiano vocalist Philharmonic.
“Mngani Wam,” which means “my friend,” is a heartfelt tribute to friendship and loyalty. The song blends Afrohouse and Amapiano, using minimal production to highlight emotion, storytelling, and strong vocals.
The track follows the project’s first single, “Funk Sauce (Wagwan)” by Rwandan artist Juno Kizigenza, released in June 2025. BAL’ING ON THE CONTINENT is distributed through The Continent. Live in partnership with Orchard West Africa, supporting pan-African music collaboration and cultural exchange.
The project was inspired by AfroFuture’s journey across Africa during the Basketball Africa League Season 5, where the team connected with artistes and producers from across the continent. AfroFuture says the project aims to bring African sounds together and promote unity through music, while also supporting basketball as a growing cultural movement.
“Mngani Wam” sets the tone for the full *BAL’ING ON THE CONTINENT* project, expected to be released later this year.
