Gen Z Vinyl; Kaesa pulled off an intimate event over the weekend with top Ghanaian celebrities in attendance to celebrate her 25th birthday at Cello, Osu, Accra.
Celebrities like Gyakie, Cina Soul, DJ Breeezy, Mahalia Akatugba, Lali X Lola were among the guests in attendance to watch Kaesa perform her top songs on the eve of her 25th birthday. The audience at the sold out show were thrilled to hear some of Kaesa’s favorite old songs and top songs from her discography.
Opening the show were Malaika; upcoming soul singer, and Bernard the Magician who set the tone appropriately for Kaesa’s entry. Speaking after the show; Kaesa opened up about her experience “Putting up this show was an act of faith, fear and lots of courage. Doing this as an independent artist isn’t just hard, it is scary. There were times in the planning stage I was overwhelmed and afraid, I could have given up but I knew I needed to take the leap of faith. It is the most honest thing I’ve ever done after Don Dada”.
“I cannot believe the turn out, the love is unreal, they really came out for me. We sold out” she reiterated in excitement. “I am grateful to every single person who bought a ticket, sang along as I performed and believed in me. My team really made this possible and I am so thankful to them’.
Host of the event; Ginger who presented Kaesa with her birthday cake a few hours to midnight informed the audience that there was more to come from the young artiste.
Kaesa is a singer/songwriter whose musical journey started at the age of 8 competing in Ghana’s biggest children talent show Talented Kidz on TV3 in Accra, Ghana. Following that, she became actively involved in her church’s choir eventually becoming the choir leader in Lighthouse Qodesh. Keeping up with her passion for music, she led an all-girls band as the Live Band President in Holy Child School in 2019. After releasing covers between 2016 – 2023, Kaesa decided to take a risk in December 2023, releasing her debut single, “Wonderful” as a Christmas song. Despite the lack of promotion, “Wonderful” garnered over 10,000 streams on Spotify within 3 months and continues to build a fan base for Kaesa. Beyond the studio, Kaesa is an established content creator and model.
