Ghanaian international defender Kasim Nuhu Adams has completed a move to Finnish top-flight club Kuopion Palloseura (KuPS) after signing a two-year contract with the Veikkausliiga side. 

The 30-year-old centre-back joins the Finnish outfit as a free agent, bringing with him extensive experience from several European leagues. Adams has previously played in the Swiss Super League, the German Bundesliga and Spain, featuring for clubs such as BSC Young Boys, TSG Hoffenheim, Fortuna Düsseldorf, FC Basel and Servette FC. During his career, he has also competed in European competitions including the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Europa Conference League.

Adams first rose to prominence during his time with Young Boys before earning a move to Hoffenheim in 2018. Standing at 190cm, he is widely known for his physical presence, aerial dominance and ability to organise the defensive line.

Speaking after completing the move, Adams expressed excitement about joining the club, praising the warm welcome from his new teammates and coaching staff. He added that he was already familiar with KuPS due to their consistent appearances in European competitions.

KuPS sporting director Sixten Boström said the Ghanaian defender’s experience, passing ability and leadership will strengthen the club’s defence ahead of the upcoming Veikkausliiga season.
