R&B veteran Keith Sweat has released a new single, Working II, featuring American rapper Lil Wayne and Nigerian singer Qing Madi.
The track, released on October 31, 2025 under KDS Entertainment and MAD Solutions, sees Sweat adopting a more global, Afro-influenced sound.
Working II reworks Sweat’s earlier single into a cross-continental collaboration that blends classic R&B smoothness, hip-hop, and Afro-soul elements.
The production, handled by Roy Hamilton III, Jsol, Jason Scott and Sweat himself, features subtle Afro-rhythmic percussion, an electric-piano-led melody, and a refined, understated bassline. The mix is notably clean and spacious, giving each vocalist clear prominence.
Sweat anchors the record with his trademark melodic delivery, while Qing Madi introduces a contemporary Afro-soul texture. Lil Wayne contributes a contrasting rap verse, providing the track with additional modern appeal.
The single is accompanied by a 2D animated lyric video created by Poka Studios, a respected Ghanaian animation company based in Awoshie, Accra.
Known for their distinctive visual style and contributions to the African music scene, Poka Studios’ involvement adds a notable Ghanaian creative presence to the project. The video forms part of a digitally focused rollout that includes targeted YouTube advertising.
The collaboration underscores the growing impact of African artistic and musical influences on global R&B and hip-hop. It also signals Sweat’s willingness to engage with new audiences and contemporary production trends, while giving Qing Madi added visibility on the international stage.
