American singer and songwriter Keri Hilson has showered praise on Ghanaian global music star Stonebwoy, describing him as “an angel on earth” whose personality truly reflects the message in his music.
In a video posted on TikTok on Thursday January 28 and sighted by GhanaWeekend, the Grammy-nominated singer said Stonebwoy stands out among many artistes whose offstage personalities differ from the image they project through their music.
According to Hilson, Stonebwoy’s calm and peaceful nature seamlessly mirrors the spirit of his songs.
“One thing I can say about Stonebwoy is that some people you meet are nothing like the music they make, and it kind of takes you aback. But with Stonebwoy, he’s exactly the way he makes his records,” she said.
She went on to describe the award-winning reggae-dancehall artiste as deeply grounded and purpose-driven.
“He’s very calm, he’s very peaceful, he’s so in-tuned. He’s almost like an angel on earth. He serves a great purpose through his music, but it’s really who he is,” Hilson added.
Beyond music, Keri Hilson revealed that Stonebwoy is also easy to communicate with and engages meaningfully on personal topics.
“We’ve gotten to speak over the phone for several hours now, and we’ve had conversations about love, about life,” she disclosed.
Stonebwoy and Keri Hilson previously collaborated in 2020 on the song “Nominate,” a track from Stonebwoy’s Fifth Dimension album. The song went on to achieve global success, further cementing Stonebwoy’s international appeal and influence.
