King Faisal coach Ignatius Osei-Fosu is confident that his team can avoid relegation if they play well in their remaining games in the Ghana Premier League.
They are currently in 11th position, only four points ahead of the relegation zone, with eight games to go.
Osei-Fosu, who recently took over from Jimmy Cobblah, believes that his experience in rescuing clubs from difficult situations, as he did with Techiman Eleven Wonders, will come in handy.
“Our target is to play well. And if we play well, clearly we are going to escape relegation. For me, all things being equal, mathematically we can also win the league,” he told 3Sports.
“Mathematically I think apart from Aduana who have 44 points and I think Medeama, all the rest of the clubs are relegation bound. So mathematically we can also win but whether it is possible or not is what we have to see.”
“But clearly, we want to escape relegation and for us, once we have come to the 10th or 9th, we believe that we are no more relegation-threatened and we have to play as a team which has a course. We will be happy to hit the top four.”
King Faisal will host Dreams FC in a crucial clash at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex this weekend.
