The National Secretary to the Komenda College of Education Old Students Association, Nicholas Taylor, has on behalf of the KOSA national president, David Ansah, praised the 2023 year group of graduated students from the college for excellent performances chalked in the 14th Congregation of the college. To maintain excellent academic performance and discipline, he has pleaded with all college stakeholders to help develop the Institution as expected.
Mr. Taylor was speaking in an interview with the News Ghana team after ushering hundreds of graduated students into the old Students Association at Komenda in the Komenda -Edena-Eguafo-Abrem Municipality of the Central Region.
As part of the 14th Congregation ceremony, the National Secretary to the Old Students Association of KOMENCO, Mr. Nicholas Taylor, and some old students as well as stakeholders of the college honored the best-graduating students with cash amounts, citations, and fridges.
One of the sponsors, Nicholas Taylor, disclosed that the move was to help motivate others to emulate the excellence of this year’s graduating students. He mentioned that 55 of the 429 graduating students passed with first class, compared with 2016’s 339 seniors with only five obtaining first class. He asked the students to study hard and continue with such a beautiful performance.
The KOSA Secretary, Nicholas Ansah, and the treasurer, Justina Christian, ushered the 429 graduates into the old Students Association on behalf of the president, David Ansah. The two did that after leading the students to swear the Alumni oath. The graduates were then introduced to various districts and regional platforms where they could patronize KOSA paraphernalia, He thanked stakeholders supporting the college and pleaded for more.
He identified the road network from Komenda to the college campus, uncompleted infrastructural projects, and many others as what all the stakeholders can help address.
He was optimistic that if all the stakeholders came together to address such challenges, the college could become ‘The Mountain Town of Shine’ as its slogan, “Bepɔwso kurow Hyerɛn” stands for.
The event was graced by dignitaries such as the Methodist church of Ghana chairman of Council, Rt. Rev. Richardson Aboagye Andam, Head of Special Education of the GES, Helena Mensah, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University of Education, Winneba, Prof. Juphus Anamuah Mensah, the Central Regional Director of Education, Emmanuel Essumang, the college’s council members, and many others.
