Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko have reportedly established contact with a top coach from a fellow Ghana Premier League club after parting ways with Karim Zito.

Zito left his role as head coach of the Porcupine Warriors after falling to Aduana FC in the 2025/26 MTN FA Cup round of 16 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Prior to Sunday’s defeat to the Dormaa-based, Kotoko had won just one out of their last 5 games in all competitions – losing to Heart of Lions and Swedru All Blacks in the process.

Zito’s departure means that Kotoko must immediately appoint a replacement and the Kumasi-based side have already established contact with Christopher Enin who is currently the head coach of Samartex.

According to sources from Kumasi, Kotoko’s hierarchy has already initiated talks with the former Berekum Chelsea head coach.
