Asante Kotoko are working on improving their midfield and attack ahead of their Ghana Premier League clash against Swedru All Blacks, according to interim head coach Hamza Obeng. The assistant coach took charge of the team last weekend when they hosted Karala United at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium for their Week 5 fixture. In what ensued as a close contest, the Porcupine Warriors laboured to secure a 1-0 victory, marking the start of a new era after the departure of head coach Eric Tinkler.Assessing the performance of the team, Hamza Obeng applauded the Kotoko players, but argued that they must continue working hard to improve their midfield and attack. We need to work more. We are still working on the attack and probably the midfield as well, he said after the Karela United game. The next Kotoko match against Swedru All Blacks will be played on Saturday, October 10. The encounter will kick off at 3 pm at the Swedru Stadium.
