The Ghanaian entertainment industry woke up to the sad news that multiple award-winning Highlife musician Kuami Eugene was involved in a near-fatal accident on the N1 Highway.
Kuami Eugene’s car collided with a tipper truck on the highway on Sunday, March 17. The tipper truck was in motion but moving slowly when the Lynx Entertainment signee crashed into it from behind.
As a result of the accident, Kuami Eugene, known in real life as Eugene Kwame Marfo broke his arm, had a cut on his lips, and leg, and an injury in the hip. He has since been admitted to the University of Ghana Hospital.
A source close to the artiste revealed to GhanaWeekend under strict anonymity that he may spend some time at the hospital.
When asked how long he may be there, the source mentioned that it could be more than a week but the doctors are currently assessing his condition.
According to the source, Kuami Eugene is responding to treatment and will remain in the hospital until he is well enough to be discharged.
’For now, I can’t tell, the doctors say he will spend some time here at the hospital…so maybe a week or more…I can’t tell…but he is responding to treatment..they want him to be fully fit before they discharge him,” the source said.
