
Kurt OkrakuGhana FA President Kurt Okraku has expressed his joy over Black Starlets participation in the upcoming U17 AFCON.The young side booked a return to the continental stage after missing out on recent editions, a setback that had tested patience within Ghana football circles. Okraku described the qualification as a relief and a reward for persistence after a difficult period for the team.The Black Starlets have been in camp since the start of the year under head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum, focusing on building cohesion and sharpening their approach ahead of the tournament. A series of friendly matches has also formed part of preparations as the technical team fine tunes the squad.I am very happy that after three failed attempts Black Starlets have eventually made it to the AFCON. It is been a very challenging period trying to get the team in the right way trying to get the team to qualify for the African championship but I am happy they have qualified,” as aired by Peace FM.”I am happy through the support of MTN we have some resources to prepare our various national teams currently Starlets are in camp preparing for the AFCON I believe the technical leadership that we have. The team led by Dr Prosper Ogum I believe they will go to the AFCON and make us proud,The U17 AFCON will take place in Morocco in April, with Ghana targeting a strong showing on their return.
