Black Stars B midfielder, Abdul Latif, has said coach Maxwell Konadu was the reason he joined the Porcupine Warriors on a free transfer after leaving Ashantigold.

Last week, the combative midfielder joined Asante Kotoko on a three-year deal after months of speculation.

The former Club Africain player said the Kotoko gaffer understands him and knows what he brings to the team when the two worked together in the 2019 WAFU tournament in Senegal.

“Every player wants to work with a coach that believes in him. The coach spoke to me and made me understand he wants me, and for me, that was the main reason”, Anabila said on Fox FM.

“Another factor that influenced my decision was the love of the fans. I felt they really wanted to see me here, and that made things easier for me to decide.”

He also added the major aim of the club is to win the league, stating he’s happy to join one of the best clubs in Ghana.

“Of course, we can win the league. We want to win the league. That is my mentality, and I believe that is the mentality of my teammates.

“I am happy to join one of the best clubs in the country, and I am going to give my best to help the club.”
