Winners of Perfect Match Xtra, Oheneba and Ewurama, have shared intimate details about how their love story began,  and how they’ve managed to sustain it beyond reality television.

Speaking in an exclusive interview on Ameyaw TV, the couple revealed that neither of them originally planned to audition seriously for the show.

For Ewurama, it was pure coincidence. “My friend was the one going to audition and I just followed her to TV3. They saw me and said I had to be on the show,” she recounted with a smile.

Oheneba, on the other hand, admitted he knew very little about the show before entering. “A friend introduced it to me. I decided to give it a try — and I met this beautiful lady.”

From Day Two To Forever?

Unlike scripted romance, the pair insist their connection was organic. Contestants entered the house as singles, with no prior relationships. By Day Two, Oheneba had made up his mind.

“I noticed she was the one I wanted, so I went for it,” he said.

Ewurama admitted she was drawn to him instantly. “I like face cuts a lot. When I saw him on stage, I said, ‘Okay, I’m going to pursue this if it works for me.’”

Despite having other admirers in the house, both say they were certain early on.

“It wasn’t for TV. It was genuine conviction,” Ewurama emphasized.

Living Love Without Phones, Just Cameras

Inside the house, contestants had no access to phones or television. According to them, this made their relationship feel surprisingly normal, even with cameras everywhere.

“We forgot there were cameras,” Oheneba said. “It felt like me and my girlfriend in our own house.”

Ewurama, who describes herself as introverted, admitted adjusting to communal living was tough. “He was my first friend in the house,” she revealed.

Fan Love & Fully Funded Trips

After winning the show, the couple discovered they had amassed a powerful fanbase, one that began “shipping” them from Day One.

From sponsored trips to fully funded getaways arranged by supporters, the duo says their fans have gone above and beyond.

“Food, clothes, accommodation, everything,” Oheneba shared.

Yet despite the public attention, they insist there’s no added pressure.

“If it doesn’t work, we’ll break up,” Ewurama stated candidly. “We’re not doing this for anyone.”

With wedding speculation already circulating, the couple teased future plans.

“When we’re ready to announce anything, we’ll come back here,” they hinted.
