Ghanaian celebrities, including Lydia Forson, Naa Ashorkor, and Fela Makafui, have rallied to provide relief and support to flood victims in Mepe, situated in the Volta region of Ghana.

Over 4,000 residents have been compelled to vacate their homes due to the spillage of the Akosombo and Kpong Dams, resulting in widespread devastation to residences and agricultural lands.

The affected communities encompass various locations such as Sogakope, Adidome, Tefle, Sokpoe, Agorme, and Agbave, primarily within the Volta Region. Additionally, several district assemblies in the Volta and Eastern regions, as well as North, Central, and South Tongu district assemblies, Shai Osudoku, and Ada, have also been impacted.

In a collective endeavour to alleviate the distress of those affected by the Akosombo Dam spillage, Ghanaian celebrities, alongside numerous charitable individuals and corporate organizations, are generously contributing essential provisions.

These include food, water, clothing, mattresses, toiletries, blankets, baby clothes, and various other necessities to aid the flood victims.
