Renowned Ghanaian musician M.anifest is set to speak at the upcoming Africa Development Conference (ADC) hosted by Harvard University.
The event is scheduled for April 11 and 12, 2025, and the artiste shared the news on his official Instagram page.
The Africa Development Conference is an annual student event at Harvard that spotlights key issues impacting the African continent.
Each year, it gathers influential voices from Africa and beyond to explore solutions, foster dialogue, and share ideas around the continent’s progress.
The 2025 edition carries the theme: Africa by 2040: The Future of Africa’s Youth.
This year’s theme emphasises the critical role young Africans will play in shaping the continent’s future. The event will feature panels and discussions across various sectors, including governance, education, health, business, law, technology, sports, and culture.
Known for blending music with intellect, M.anifest has long been regarded as a thought leader within both the music industry and academic circles.
His intellectual style has even drawn playful criticism, notably from fellow artiste Sarkodie in the 2016 track Kanta, where he joked that M.anifest belonged more in a lecture hall than a studio.
In 2023, M.anifest was invited to speak at Howard University in Washington, D.C., during a special event celebrating the 50th anniversary of hip-hop—an event organised by the university’s Centre for African Studies and School of Business as part of a global recognition of hip-hop’s influence.
