President John Dramani Mahama has extended warm Mother’s Day greetings to Ghanaian women, with a special tribute to Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, who is currently recovering from an illness.
In a heartfelt message shared on his social media pages on Sunday, May 11, and sighted by Ghana Weekend, President Mahama posted a photo of himself standing beside the Vice President during a visit .
“A special Mother’s Day greeting to my Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, whom I had the pleasure of visiting earlier this morning,” Mahama wrote.
He noted that the Vice President is “taking a deserved rest after recovering from illness and looking forward to resuming her duties soon.”
The post has drawn warm reactions from supporters and members of the public, many of whom expressed relief at the Vice President’s improved health and joined in celebrating mothers across the country.
