NPP flagbearer, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has hit back at former President John Mahama over his refusal to engage in a debate.
Vice President Bawumia threw a challenge to Mahama for the debate but the former President has shied away from it.
Former President John Mahama, a few days ago, stated that he won’t debate the Vice President because he is not at his level stressing he (Mahaka) “knows his level”.
In a clapback, Dr. Bawumia says Mahama is afraid of his track record, hence running away from the debate like his (Mahama) “small small chickens”, a phrase associated with a promise by Mahama.
“Mahama is saying that during his time, he did better than us and I told him that if he really believes he has superior records, he should come for us to have a debate, a mano a mano, man to man.
“He should come for a debate; he should not be afraid…But he is really afraid. He is afraid so he is running away like ‘nkoko nketenketen’”, Dr. Bawumia said in front of a large crowd at Nkawkaw on Saturday.
The phrase “nkoko nketenketen” has become synonymous with Mahama’s promise to provide chickens to the youth for rearing as his way of creating jobs.
The policy, however, has become a subject of mockery the former President is said to lack ambitious and proper policies to help the youth of Ghana.
