English-Ghanaian midfielder Malachi Boateng scored just before half-time as Plymouth Argyle cruised to a commanding 4-0 victory over Blackpool FC at Bloomfield Road in League One.

Argyle made a bright start and took the lead in the 30th minute through Alexander Mitchell, before Aribim Pepple doubled the advantage in first-half stoppage time. Boateng then struck in the 45+4th minute, firing home from the edge of the box to give the visitors a comfortable three-goal cushion at the break.

The dominance continued after the restart, with Caleb Watts adding a fourth on the hour mark to seal an emphatic win for Tom Cleverley’s side.

Boateng’s energetic display further highlighted his growing influence this season, taking his tally to three goals and four assists in 31 League One appearances. Plymouth next travel to face Leyton Orient as they push to maintain momentum.
