The Ghana Police Service has arrested a 40-year-old man, Samuel Bills Acquah, in connection with an alleged assault incident in Cape Coast.
According to a press release issued by the Central Regional Police Command on March 29, 2026, the arrest follows a viral video that brought the incident to public attention.
The suspect is accused of assaulting a 30-year-old woman, with whom he reportedly has a child.

Police disclosed that a formal report was lodged on March 27, 2026, at approximately 9:30 p.m., indicating that the alleged assault took place at Bakano, a suburb of Cape Coast.
Acting swiftly on the report, officers proceeded to the scene and apprehended the suspect.
Samuel Bills Acquah is currently in police custody, assisting with investigations. Authorities have confirmed that he is expected to be arraigned before the court on March 30, 2026, to face prosecution.
