A 45-year-old man, Imoro Abdulai, was tragically killed in a road accident on the Walewale-Nasia road in the West Mamprusi Municipality of the Northeast Region.
The incident occurred on the morning of August 20, 2024, as Abdulai was returning to Nasia on a motorbike after a visit to the bush.
According to police reports, Abdulai veered off his lane and into the path of an approaching vehicle transporting passengers from Tamale to Walewale.
The collision resulted in fatal injuries for Abdulai, who was rushed to the Walewale Government Hospital. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The damaged vehicle is currently parked at the Walewale police headquarters as part of the ongoing investigation into the accident. Abdulai’s body has been released to his family for burial in Nasia by Islamic customs.
