A man who left Nigeria at 19 has been deported from the United States (US) after living in the country for nearly 50 years.

His granddaughter shared the heartbreaking news in a now-viral TikTok post, revealing he was deported without documentation or calls.

In her post, the granddaughter identifed as @Majormicc on TikTok, shared that she is yet to hear from her grandfather, Joe, since his deportation.

She disclosed that her mother spoke with him twice while he was in Louisiana and was charged $106.

“Everything is happening so fast, we still haven’t heard from him. Also, my mum did talk with him twice when he was in Louisiana at the ice center and they charged her $106.”

According to the granddaughter, her grandfather is nearly 70 and has nowhere to stay in Nigeria.

She sought assistance and legal support from netizens regarding the heartbreaking incident.

“Elderly deportation shouldn’t happen like this. My grandfather is almost 70 years old. We need legal guidance and support. Please share. I didn’t even get a chance to say goodbye. They didn’t allow anyone to say goodbye, no families to say goodbye, She stated.

However, the circumstances leading to her grandfather’s deportation remain unknown.
