NIGERIA – A married woman identified as Joy has been found dead in a hotel room after meeting a man she had been communicating with online.
According to reports, the suspect had promised to help Joy travel abroad and secure a better life, which led to their meeting according to a WhatsApp conversation between the two
Joy is said to have informed her husband that she was going to visit a friend before leaving home on the day of the incident.

However, the meeting ended in tragedy as Joy was later discovered dead in the hotel room under unclear circumstances.
In a disturbing twist, the man she had gone to meet is alleged to have fled after the hotel’s premises without notice from the staff.
It has also been alleged that he left the hotel with Joy’s two-year-old baby.
The Nigerina Police Force has since launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Joy’s death, including the identity and whereabouts of the suspect.
