Medeama SC head coach, Ibrahim Tanko, has refuted reports suggesting thatKamaradini Mamudu is set to leave the club at the end of the season. The 22-year-old right back has been a livewire for the Yellow and Mavue in the ongoing season. His impressive performances earned him a call-upfor Black Stars’ Matchday 5 and 6 games of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar in MarchHowever, speaking after Medeamas 3-1 victory over Vision FC in the Matchday 30 games, Tanko clarified that he was unaware of any offers for the player.Im not aware of any interest from clubs outside. Mamudu is one of the pillars of this team, he stated.Thats why hes a national team player, and hes doing very well. But I always say its not about an individual its about teamwork.Tanko highlighted Mamudus attacking contributions, noting his goal-scoring record despite being a defender. He explained that the defenders tactical role often saw him operating like a midfielder when Medeama were in possession, which had contributed to his goal tally.Im not surprised hes scoring a lot of goals. When we have the ball, he plays almost like a midfielder, the coach added.Addressing calls for more Medeama players to be considered for the national team, Tanko noted that it was not his place to make recommendations but acknowledged his relationship with the national team coaches.I dont think I have to recommend him. The national team coaches are watching. They are my friends, and if were discussing players, I will certainly speak well of Prosper Boakye, he said.Kamaradini Mamudu will hope to continue his impressive performances when Medeama SC head to play against Karela United in the Matchday 31 games at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.
