Medeama SC Technical Director Augustine Evans Adotey has praised FC Samartex for their performance in their 2-2 draw against Raja Casablanca in the CAF Champions League preliminary round.
Speaking to Kickoffghana.com, Adotey commended the head coach, Amadu Nurudeen, and his team for their efforts. He expressed confidence in their ability to advance to the group stage of the continental tournament.
“I have to give credit to Coach Nuru and the entire Samartex team for their impressive performance against Raja Casablanca. Despite the 2-2 draw, I was thoroughly impressed after reviewing the game,” Adotey said. “FC Samartex displayed determination and hunger for success.”
He highlighted the team’s strengths: “They were well-organized in both attack and defense, with effective ball possession, circulation, and transitions. Their wide play and ball-crossing were effective, and they managed to force the opposition into a defensive stance after the 60th minute.”
Adotey concluded with optimism: “All is not lost. FC Samartex can approach the return leg with the right mindset and secure qualification.”
The Ghanaian champions will be aiming for a strong performance to progress to the group stage of the CAF Champions League.
