Ghanaian rapper and singer, Medikal, has sent a message to the board of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards following the announcement of nominees for this year’s edition.
The award-winning artiste, known in private life as Samuel Adu Frimpong, delivered the message during his performance at the Kumawu Papa Nantwie Festival Concert held in the Ashanti Region over the weekend.
While addressing the crowd, the ‘Shoulder’ hitmaker, revealed that he has secured nominations in several categories at the upcoming awards, including the prestigious Artiste of the Year category. According to him, his work in the year under review places him ahead of the other nominees.
The rapper therefore called on fans to help him send a message to the awards board that there should be “No Libilibi No Labalaba” when it comes to deciding the winner of the category, insisting that he outperformed every artiste last year.
“You know they have nominated me for TGMA awards including the artiste of the year. And we all know last year I worked more than everybody. So tell them that No Libilibi No Labalaba for the Artiste of the Year award. I outperformed every artiste the whole of last year,” he said while performing on stage.
