U.S. rapper Megan Thee Stallion was taken to hospital after falling ill midway through her performance in Moulin Rouge! The Musical in New York on Tuesday night.
A spokesperson said the artist, whose real name is Megan Pete, began feeling unwell during the show and was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, where doctors are currently evaluating her symptoms.
The 31-year-old is making her Broadway debut in the role of Harold Zidler, the flamboyant master of ceremonies in the production. Her hairstylist, Kellon Deryck, later shared on social media that the team was at the hospital and asked fans to keep the rapper in their prayers.

According to the production’s website, Megan is scheduled to perform in the show until May 17. The Grammy-winning artist, known for hit songs including Savage, WAP and Body, previously expressed excitement about stepping onto the Broadway stage, celebrating her debut performance on social media after opening night on March 24.
