FC Barcelona attacker, Memphis Depay has spent golden part of his vacation in Ghana where he undertook various projects. His presence and inputs have compelled most football fans to fall in love with him, compelling them to join FC Barcelona.

The Netherland born player has made some significant strides in the country of his father’s birth during his summer holidays.

Memphis who has Ghanaian roots because of his father sees Ghana as his home. He spent some good time with his native people in Accra and Cape Coast. His stay would see him spending two weeks in Ghana and working for his foundation.

The Dutch striker spent some significant time with the deaf and dumb school in Cape Coast. He wore the local school uniform to join the pupils in class. Through the Memphis Foundation, he has built a new washroom of the school after visiting them for the first time in 2018.

Memphis expressed his happiness in doing these philanthropic works for needy.

” It’s always a special feeling when i come visit the school in Cape Coast. A lot of beautiful work is done but we not done ye ! Memphis wrote on his Instagram page.

He was joined on the unveiling by Ghanaian music star Bisa K Dei and other significant personalities.

Memphis had earlier played on a grassless pitch at Madina with Quincy Promes. They became the toast of the fans present.

Depay has deep Ghanaian roots from his father Dennis Depay. His mother Cora Schensema also hails from Netherlands. Memphis publicly denied his father for leaving him and his mother when he was four years, but this has been resolved.
