The iconic Alliance Française was filled with excitement as it hosted the much-anticipated launch of songstress Abiana ‘s “Taste of Africa” EP.
The event, held on Friday, November 24, drew a star-studded crowd, including MP for Tamale South Alhassan Suhuyini, Asamoah Gyan’s manager Anim Addo, and the esteemed Millionaire and CEO of Kenpong Travel & Tours Kennedy Agyepong popularly known as Kenpong.
The concert celebrated African culture and heritage with performances by legendary Ghanaian artists including Okyeame Kwame, Amandzeba Nat Brew, Trigmatic, and Worlasi, in addition to Abiana’s music.
Midway through the event, the EP was auctioned. One of the highlights of the auction was how the millionaire and CEO of Kenpong Travel & Tours generously purchased a copy of the EP, along with a miniature drum, for GH¢2,000.
The patronage by the former Asante Kotoko Board Chairman not only demonstrated his appreciation for the ‘African Highlife’ crooner’s artistry but also underscored his commitment to promoting Ghanaian music and culture.
The “Taste of Africa” EP showcases Abiana known in real life as Eldah Dickson’s exceptional talent as a singer and songwriter, combining traditional African influences with contemporary elements.
It actually consists of 6 tracks including ‘African Highlife’, High and Far Away.
