MobileMoney Limited has honoured 22 high-performing partners within the country’s fintech ecosystem at its 2025 FinTech Stakeholders’ Dinner & Awards held in Accra.
The event, headlined by stakeholders from the Bank of Ghana, partner banks, technology firms, regulators and fintech innovators, celebrated collaboration, innovation and service excellence across the fast-growing digital finance landscape.
In his address, Chief Executive Officer of MoMo Ltd, Shaibu Haruna, expressed appreciation to partners whose collective work continues to strengthen Ghana’s digital financial services industry.
He highlighted the significant evolution of MoMo from a platform that initially enabled basic transfers and airtime purchases into a robust digital ecosystem that now powers payments, credit, savings, pensions and investment services nationwide.
He applauded partner banks for their role in ensuring liquidity and seamless transaction flows, as well as technology partners for building the infrastructure that supports over 20 billion transactions daily.
He further commended fintech partners for delivering innovative solutions that address customer needs and agents and merchants for serving as the critical link between the physical and digital economy.
The CEO also underscored the enabling regulatory and policy environment shaping Ghana’s next phase of digital transformation, citing initiatives such as digital lending regulations, virtual assets guidelines, open banking, the proposed fintech growth fund and government’s rollout of AI-powered trade analytic data systems.
These interventions, he said, will boost innovation, improve transparency and create a healthier fintech ecosystem.
