Cape Coast, 27th December, 2020, Veteran journalist, Kwase Pratt Junior has been heard in a video that went viral claiming that Ghana is entering into Armageddon among other unsavoury comments he made on Alhaji and Alhaji programme against the president Nana Addo-Danquah Akufo-Addo.

In the viral video, Mr. Pratt chastised the President, Nana Addo-Danquah Akufo-Addo to save his little integrity left in order to save his name and that of his family.

He has recently delivered a speech in which according to Mr. Otchere Darko he claims that, the NDC won in almost all Barracks across the country in the special voting in the just ended 2020 elections.

It is against this background that, Gabby Otchere Darko who is an NPP stalwart and also a family member of Nana Akufo-Addo, the president of the Republic of Ghana has provided counterfactual evidence to disprove Mr. Pratt’s Claim.

According to a write up seen on Mr. Otchere Darko’s Facebook wall, he provides data on the number of security personnel who took part in the special voting as follows:

Number of Registered Voters – 109,608

Turnout (Issued Ballots ) – 92,735 representing 84.6%

NPP – 56,446 – 60.9%

NDC – 35,464 – 38.2

The statement by Mr. Otchere Darko further avers that “NPP won in Greater Accra (NPP won in all but 6 of the 31 constituencies where voting took place, including La Dadekotopon)”. “NPP won in Oti, Western, Western North, Northern, North East, Eastern, Central, Bono East, Bono, Ashanti and Ahafo and mainly by huge margins”.

From the forgoing, it is apt to ask, that based on Gabby’s information as provided, on what basis did Mr. Pratt make those allusions and conclusions, Mr. Otchere Darko has sought to react to?

Below is the full write up by Gabby Asare Otchere Darko as copied from his Facebook wall:

Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko writes:

I have listened to a speech delivered by Kwesi Pratt Jr, where he gave the impression that the NDC won the votes of the security services. But, the votes of the barracks in Greater Accra and most places across the country do not support this claim. 2020 SPECIAL VOTING involved mainly the security services and some journalists.
