David Adedeji Adeleke, widely known as Davido has revealed that his father continues to financially support him, referring to himself as his father’s “baby” despite his own success.
The Nigerian super star who’s got four days to the release of his 5th studio album, “5ive”, has been on a series of media engagements in the United states.
Speaking on Power 105 in New York, Davido revealed that his father attended his concert at State Farm Arena in Atlanta one time and praised his performance the next day, and then gave him $300,000 as a gesture of support and appreciation.
“My father still gives me a money because I’m his baby. He came to my show at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, called me the next day and said, “amazing show, good job”,then he gave me $300,000” he said.
