Ghanaian musician and outspoken supporter of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah popularly known as Mzbel, has taken to social media to express concern over the growing pressure from supporters who are still grappling with unemployment months after the party’s return to power.

In a video shared on her social media platforms on Friday, April 19, the singer voiced her frustration over the high expectations placed on her by constituents, friends, family, and fans who backed the NDC during the 2024 general elections.

“Our party is in power but we’re still struggling to get jobs lol,” she wrote in a caption accompanying the video, which featured a voiceover echoing the same sentiment.

Mzbel, who campaigned actively for the NDC during the elections, added that the pressure she is currently facing is “unbearable,” as many of those who supported the party’s campaign are now demanding employment opportunities.

“The pressure on me right now from my constituency, colleagues, friends, family, new voters and fans is unbearable… they just want jobs,” she posted.

Mzbel has long been known for her political activism and open support for the NDC. Her latest remarks highlight the growing frustration among some supporters who had hoped for swift economic relief and job creation under the new administration.
