Evangelist Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, has been convicted for charlatanic advertisement and defrauding by false pretense.
The case, which stems from a 2022 television broadcast, involved Agradaa promoting what she claimed were money-doubling rituals.
The advert, widely circulated at the time, promised viewers quick financial returns in exchange for initial cash deposits a move that has now been found to be deceptive and unlawful.
Agradaa, a self-styled spiritualist turned evangelist, was arrested following numerous complaints from individuals who claimed to have been defrauded after responding to her televised promises.
Further details, including sentencing and legal commentary, are expected as the case unfolds.
