Recall that on Thursday, February 5, 2026, Nana Agradaa appeared before the Amasaman High Court for judgment in her appeal case, resulting in a significant reduction of her prison sentence.

After several hours of legal proceedings, the court reduced her original 15-year hard labour sentence to 12 months for counts two and three.

In addition, she was fined 200 penalty units, equivalent to GHS 2,400, and ordered to refund GHS 1,000 to her two complainants. The court also upheld fines related to count one.

According to reports from the courtroom, the presiding judge described the initial 15-year sentence as harsh and excessive.

While the court affirmed her conviction, it exercised its discretion to vary the punishment, leading to the revised custodial term.

The new sentence took effect from July 3, 2025, the date of her original conviction, meaning the founder of Heaven Way International Ministry will serve a total of one year in prison.

In a video shared by Today’s TV on Facebook, Agradaa has been sighted at her residence in the company of Angel Asiamah and family members.

The footage has since taken over social media trends, sparking fresh public debate over the court’s decision.

Nana Agradaa’s release has received mixed reactions from social media users with some netizens welcoming the court’s intervention, while others have since questioned the leniency shown in the appeal ruling.

Further legal commentary is expected in the coming days as the case continues to attract national attention.
