The Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ketu North Constituency of the Volta Region, Mr. Edem Agbana, has forecasted a landslide victory for the party come December 7, 2024 election.

He hinted that his campaign team was working extra hard with the out-going Member of Parliament (MP), party executives, and indeed all constituents to ensure a minimum of ninety (90) percent voter turn-out in the December general elections and more importantly garner about eighty-five (85) percent vote returns for the NDC, its flagbearer, Mr. John Dramani Mahama, and himself.

Speaking to our news team in an interview at Ehi over the weekend, Mr. Agbana described the move as a ‘Community or Ketu North Project’, aimed at empowering the good people of the Ketu North Constituency giving them hope despite the excruciating hardships Ghanaians are currently facing under the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He advised leadership in the constituency against complacency in its efforts in the run-up to the forthcoming elections, hoping that the good people of Ketu North would reward the NDC diligently in the upcoming polls. ‘I can assure you that as for the elections, we are working hard, we will keep working until we achieve and exceed our target of eighty-five (85) percent’, Mr. Agbana stated.

The PC reminded the youth to be resolute, adding that it is time for young people of the constituency to rise and occupy positions in leadership.

Mr. Agbana observed that if the recent District Level Election is anything to go by, then Ketu North is awakened to the fact that it is the time of the youth, explaining that most of the Assembly Members (AMs) elected in that election are young people and that he expects same to be done in the December 2024 general elections.

He described the relationship he has had with the youth so far as very heartwarming and enjoyable, assuring that he would do well for them and the entire good people of Ketu North when allowed to replace the current and out-going MP, Dr. James Klutse Avedzi, who has been awesome and very instrumental in the development of the constituency over the years.
