After several setbacks, he has now decided to follow a similar path to close friend and Spain teammate Lamine Yamal by seeking specialist treatment abroad. While Lamine travelled to Belgium to work with renowned doctor Ernest Schilders, Nico has chosen a different route. According to El Correo, he has flown from Pamplona to Birmingham, England, for an external treatment plan aimed at finally resolving his pubalgia. He is expected to return to Bilbao this Friday and continue his recovery under the supervision of Athletics medical staff, led by Jurdan Mendigutxia.Coach Ernesto Valverde is staying calm but did not hide his frustration at losing such a decisive player for so long. He admitted he does not yet know when Nico will be back, and regretted having spent too much time with a player like Nico at half throttle.Nico Williams has played 19 games, scored four goals, and assisted two in La Liga this season.
