Athletic Club winger Nico Williams has set his sights on making history with the club after signing a long-term deal with the club.
The 22-year-old on Tuesday, July 15, signed a new deal until 2035 despite a strong interest from Barcelona and Premier League clubs.
Speaking after inking a new deal, Williams highlighted their target ahead of the new football season, adding that he aims to make more history with the club.
“We have very ambitious titles at stake, such as the Champions League, what better than to do it with the club of my life, I would like to continue making history here at San Mames, with the fans and with my family.”
He also pledged to give his all to the club and the fans for their support and belief.
“I hope to respond to the maximum with everything they have given me, I hope to make them enjoy it as always.
“This is also for them, I’ve always felt a lot of affection towards me, I’m very proud of the fans I have,” he added.
Nico Williams has made 197 appearances for Athletic Club, scoring 40 goals in the process.
