British-Nigerian boxing champion, Anthony Joshua has described his trip to Ghana as amazing.
He said this when he paid a courtesy call on President John Dramani Mahama at the Jubilee House on Monday June 16.
Joshua, who arrived on June 13 to support Sharaf Mahama’s “Battle of the Beasts” boxing event, said, “Coming to Ghana was not in my agenda but I came through. I’m amazed by the culture and the warm reception I’ve received.”
He added, “Nigerians have been lying to me; I can’t wait to tell them how amazing Ghana is.”
Joshua also praised Ghana’s efforts to revive sports and revealed plans to connect Africa to the world through new ventures.
President Mahama welcomed Joshua and encouraged young Ghanaians to draw inspiration from his visit.
