“One Corner” hitmaker, Patapaa Amisty is of the belief that Nigerians are doing better in terms of music than Ghanaians because Ghanaians misunderstood him.
Patapaa’s comment comes during an interview on a cooking show aired on Accra-based United Television.
Patapaa noted that Ghanaians are doing better than Nigerians in terms of music, however, Ghanaians misunderstood him, the reason Nigerians seem to be doing better.
Not only Nigerians, but the “one corner” hitmaker stated that Ghana would have been the best country to produce good music if they had taken him seriously enough.
In buttressing his assertion, Patapaa said that following the release of his “One Corner” song, Ghanaians focused on misunderstanding him, while, Nigerians, on the other hand took advantage of the rhythm of his song to generate more.
He said “If Ghanaians had understood me, no one would come close to us in terms of music. We allowed Nigerians to take over the “One Corner” rhythm for their songs”.
Patapaa believes that “Nigerians are the ones doing the original hogglife music”, adding that “When you listen to their sounds, they use highlife key and One Corner rhythm is part”.
