Nominations are now open for the 2026 SHIMEI Star Influential Awards, following a remarkable 2025 ceremony that celebrated outstanding leaders, changemakers and influencers whose work has uplifted communities and advanced women’s empowerment across Ghana.

Last year’s award recipients included the Inspirational Youth Award winner Nakeeyat Dramani Sam, the Sustainability Award presented to Telecel Ghana Foundation, Woman of the Year awarded to Janet Anyeley Parker, Man of the Year awarded to Akwasi Agyeman, the Community Leader Award presented to Oscar David Akaba-Norvixoxo, CEO of the Year awarded to Ernest Boateng, and the Humanitarian Award presented to Her Excellency Rebecca Akufo-Addo.

These individuals and organisations were honoured for their leadership, impact, innovation, and service across various sectors, with their achievements widely featured in post-event media coverage.

For 2026, nominations are open in the following award categories: Sustainability Award, Woman of the Year Award, Man of the Year Award, Community Leader Award, and CEO of the Year Award. These categories reflect the core areas of influence and impact recognised by the SHIMEI Star Influential Awards.

The awards form part of the Include Her Conference, hosted by LadySam, who will be marking her 7th consecutive year of hosting an international women’s empowerment event.

This year’s event promises to be inspiring, celebratory, and fun.

The SHIMEI Star Influential Awards and Include Her Conference 2026 will be held as an exclusive, invitation-only event.

Nominations are now open, and the public is encouraged to nominate deserving individuals and organisations whose work demonstrates excellence, influence and positive impact.
