Ibrahim Iddrisu, who is the team manager of Women’s Premier League club, Northern Ladies, said he does not have money to cater for the transportation of five of his players to Cape Coast for camping.

The players earned an invitation into the Black Maidens and Princesses squads to start camping for their respective FIFA assignments.

Iddrisu said his finances are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and cannot transport the ladies to Camp.

“Right now, I don’t even have GHC1 on me not to talk about getting transportation for five players. It has always been the norm but we are not in normal times and we don’t have the means to take them to camp. We need help”, he told Happy FM.

“I was just informed this morning that five of my players have been called to camp in Cape Coast. It is difficult transporting these players from the North to Cape Coast because transportation these days is expensive.”

The Black Princesses will be preparing for their 2020 Women’s World Cup qualifier matches while the Maidens prepare for the India 2021 U17 World Cup qualifiers.

Barikisu Ishahaku, Mukarama Abdulai, and Rahama Jafar are among the provisional list of Black Princesses players invited while Seidu Faiza and Akaheeh Doris will be representing the Maidens.

They were supposed to report to camp today, Friday 14th August 14, 2020.
