On a recent episode of the popular Ghanaian talk show United Showbiz, a group of NPP thugs invaded the studios of UTV with the aim of attacking Kwame A-plus, a controversial social media commentator, Musician and Politician
One of the thugs, who was bold enough to show his face on camera, was identified as Mandela Wiafe, the deputy Youth Organizer of the NPP in Greater Accra Region. Wiafe was heard saying that they were coming to protect their party’s property.
The attack was widely condemned by Ghanaians on social media, with many calling for Wiafe and his accomplices to be arrested. The Ghana Police Service has since launched an investigation into the incident.
It is unclear what sparked the attack, but it is believed to be related to A-plus’s recent criticism of the NPP government. A-plus has been a vocal critic of the government’s handling of the economy and other issues.
The attack on A-plus is a worrying development for democracy in Ghana. It is important for Ghanaians to be able to express their views freely without fear of intimidation or violence.
The Ghana Police Service must conduct a thorough investigation into the attack and bring the perpetrators to justice. They have so far issued a statement that they have arrested 16 persons who pepertuated the heinous act.
The NPP must also take steps to discipline Wiafe and any other party members who were involved in the attack.
Shame!!
