The National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has announced the introduction of Mr. UEW.

This initiative marks a significant shift towards inclusivity, allowing male students to participate alongside their female counterparts.

Traditionally, the pageantry has been exclusive to women, but the current NUGS executives of UEW are determined to promote fairness and diversity within the event.

“For the first time, we proudly introduce Mr UEW alongside Miss UEW”-the NUGS president, Francis Asare said.

In light of concerns raised during last year’s pageant, the executives have assured students that measures will be implemented to prevent any issues from recurring.

Nominations are now open for interested students, both male and female, to pick up forms for the pageant.

The NUGS encourages all eligible participants to seize this opportunity to showcase their talents.
